THE SWEDISH RAIL BIKE AND NENE HALT
This is a 'Rail Bike' and was used by rail-workers to inspect the track, this particular one arrived from Sweden and was donated to Nene Valley Railway Volunteer and Shed Master Alan Gladden. The short length of railway track was sourced by Malcolm (Tom) Heugh and donated by Boston Docks.
The track was installed by Steve Goodwin and the whole area has been upgraded and renovated by the Morris family, Rod, Janet and Colin.
Soon the 'Nene Halt' sign will be installed, and on top of the lamp post, donated by Peterborough City Council, will be a lantern to adorn the 'Halt' light provided by Rod Morris
